Dr. Mohammad Mazhar Hussain (GMC: 4377652) has dedicated more than 20 years to hair restoration surgery. He began performing hair transplants in 2004 after training with Dr. Robert Jones, and was among the early adopters of follicular unit extraction (FUE) worldwide. He has since performed more than 3,000 FUE procedures in men and women, alongside thousands of PRP treatments for hair loss. He founded My Hair Clinic, which works to Scandinavian standards of clinical safety and ethics.
He is known for natural, conservative hairline design and careful management of the donor area. He has particular experience with high-Norwood cases, with repairing strip/FUT scars and with correcting poor results from other clinics. He also performs beard, moustache and eyebrow transplants.
Dr. Hussain qualified in Medicine from the University of Copenhagen in 1994 and is a specialist physician with more than 30 years of clinical experience across Scandinavia, the UK and the Middle East. He is registered in the United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway and Iceland, and is licensed by the Dubai Health Authority.
This medical background shapes his approach: he treats hair loss as a medical problem as well as a surgical one. When relevant, he assesses hormonal, thyroid and nutritional factors, drawing on his training in Functional and Integrative Medicine. This adds an in-depth analysis of what is driving each patient’s hair loss, so the underlying causes can be addressed. Genetics determine susceptibility to pattern hair loss, but hormones, inflammation, nutrition and lifestyle affect when it starts and how fast it progresses, and these factors can be modified.
